Replacement, triangular stair rod brackets, sold in pairs and a choice of finishes
A selection of triangular stair rod brackets is available, sold in pairs. We offer both brackets for triangular rods and cylindrical rods, in a choice of metal finishes.
The sizes available match the ranges of brass stair rods we currently sell. Should your stair rods be old, you may find they differ in diameter to those currently in the marketplace. We can supply small foam inserts (free of charge) for our brackets, should your rods be slightly smaller or you can make something similar yourself to prevent your stair rods ‘rattling’.
Solid brass stair rod brackets
Our solid brass, triangular-rod brackets are sold in pairs and come complete with matching screws and are the same design as those supplied with our Royale range of stair rods, which feature a fleur-de-lys as decoration on the brackets. Choose the relevant option for either stair runners or fitted carpets.
Brackets are available in ten metal finishes: polished brass, antique or satin brass, antique bronze, polished chrome, brushed chrome, satin and polished nickel, pewter and black.
Triangular brackets cater for rods with a visible flat face, measuring approximately 25mm (1″) across.
These stair rod brackets are supplied with No. 6 screws: drill a pilot hole before fixing the brackets to the staircase, then drill a 4mm clearance hole for the screw shank. It is suggested for softwood: drill a 2.5mm pilot hole and hardwood a 3mm pilot hole. To avoid damaging the screws it is suggested you use a low drill speed.
- Runner rods brackets: affix either side of the runner.
- Fitted carpet Front Fix brackets: place the rod on the stair carpet and place the Front Fix brackets over the rod face, screwing them through the carpet. We recommend that you leave at least a 2.5-5cm gap between the stringboard (side of staircase) and tip of the rod, on both sides of the staircase.
- Fitted carpet Side Fix brackets: screw one bracket into the wood side of the staircase before slotting in the supplied rod and then fixing the second bracket to the side of the staircase.
Cleaning your triangular stair rod brackets
These brackets have an invisible lacquer to protect them and keep them looking pristine. Simply wipe clean occasionally, and do not polish. If you use any household cleaners to clean surrounding wood and paintwork, this should be applied to the cloth and not directly sprayed on the surface of the staircase, as the cleaner can react with the finish of the rods.
