It may be surprising just how many options there are! From joining carpets together in a doorway to trimming the edge of a step or dividing a room, there is a smart floor edging strip that is designed to do the job.
Our shopping site provides some useful product filters to help you narrow down the options, including type, finish, width, length and brand.
Joiners for laminate and the like
If you are joining floor coverings which are ‘hard’, such as ceramic tiles, wood or laminate, many people like the self-adhesive options, as they are so simple to install – simply cut to length with a sharp hack-saw and stick over the edges of the two floors to be joined. They are also popular should you have underfloor heating, as no screws or nails are involved.
Catering for different floor levels
Joining carpets typically involves a gripper strip, which is hidden under the carpet and pulls the carpet under tension. And, if you have floor levels which are a different height, take a look at the Ramps, which solve many a problem.
If you are unsure which floor edging strips to purchase, please get in touch and we’ll be happy to provide expert advice.
